Oprah has been in the news lately and is the hot topic of conversation. Much of the talk centers on why she did not open a school in America. And interesting enough, where are the boys? This is the perfect example of damned if you do, damned if you don't. You can't make 'no one' happy in America. Try to do something good and it is the road lined with critics. Love her or not, she has done what no one else has. Focused attention on the issue of abuse towards women and children in Africa. Africa is bleeding. Men are slaughtered. The women are raped, enslaved, brutalized beyond belief. The children are brutally murdered, raped, enslaved, tortured. Could it get any worse? Enter Oprah stage left.
Is it any wonder she is trying to lift women up in Africa? Animals are treated with more dignity in the western world. Women must improve their social standing in Africa to end the violence.Education, could it be that simple to bring about change?
Oprah is looking for the leaders of tomorrow. For every child, woman, and man I hope she succeeds and can bring about change. Because if she can't, I don't know who else can.
As for the no boys allowed policy, one of Oprah's rules is no pregnancy. This policy helps the girls focus on learning, not getting a man. "I love these girls with every part of my being. I didn't know you could feel this way about other people's children." Where the boys are. She said she planned a second school for boys and girls in the eastern province of KwazuluNatal. Happy now? So, the girls will be able to find boys to marry after all. American men can stop worrying about the smart girl married to the dumb guy. I wonder if the girls will have an interest in getting married after school? Oprah is not married. Is Oprah trying to find her replacement when she is no longer able to do the show? Will she select a girl willing to dedicate her life to causes and an empire, not a man?

Oprah has generously donated $40 million of her own money to give girls in South Africa an education in opulant surroundings. She stated the world is in desperate need of leadership, and I agree. Women and girls are the casualty of guerilla warfare in Africa. A war to prove superiority.
